The main objective of the EDUSIGN & SIGNEDU project (Project Result 1: European Sign Language Coordination Network (ESLCON) in Higher Education) is to promote equal educational opportunities for deaf people through development of sign language education and sign language interpreter training. The project was coordinated by İstinye University and partner organizations included the Stockholm University, Sweden, University of HUMAK Applied Sciences, Finland, Association of Sign Language Interpreters, Turkey and Turkish Confederation of the Deaf, Turkey. In accordance with the targeted solutions of the international strategic plans, EDUSIGN & SIGNEDU project has aimed to offer a variety of solutions on the problems of Deaf community in education and communication from a consensus-based European perspective.
